How Would You Describe Your Relationship with Your Money?

How would you describe your relationship with your money?

Cordial? Tense? Intimate? Rocky? Complicated?

I’ll be honest, my current money relationship is complicated and a little tense. Stuff happens. You get thrown off your game. The big question is, how to deal with it?

Burying your head in the sand is an option. It’s one that I’ve chosen before. Years ago, that was a way of life for me. But time has passed. I’ve grown. I’ve changed. I’ve learned a few things.

One of the things I’ve learned is not to panic.

Another is that if the situation feels shaky I need to get back to basics. ASAP.

For me, back to basics means two things. First, always keep my “why” top of mind (do you know your money why? You need to! Email me, tmarcille@hotmail.com, and I’ll help you figure it out.).

Second, I dust off my spending diary. It’s my #1 tool to pull my money relationship (and my finances) away from tense and back toward intimate, happy and fulfilled.

How would you describe your relationship with money?

Is it the way you’d like it to be?

If you get off track, what’s your best strategy to get back on?

Let me know in the comments.

Lots of love!
